you know say a member of my family got throat cancer right now, well they say douglas has an 80% chance of survival, instantly my family member would have about 40% and its all down to money. I hope douglas recovers i really do but the people in hospitals, health professionals all of it, they shouldnt treat people without the money less than they would someone like michael douglas its wrong
i dont wish cancer or death on anyone but i have to say that i think its so fucking unfair that people with money get better treatment than those without the money, its not fair at all, you cant put money on someones life for fucks sake, everyone deserves as much treatment as someone with money gets, i think its disgusting in this day and age the more money you have the better treatment you get, sickens me. And i miss my unc worst christmas ever.
my uncl died last year december 9th from brain cancer docs said they couldnt do anything for him they couldnt operate incase it killed him he was only 51 and i still cant believe it my dad aint all that and so i looked to my uncle kinda like a role model in my life and to see him go out like that, suffering for 8 months and then just taking one last breath and dying its so horrible.

@staphinfection You’ve got a damned good point there. Cancer is not something that anyone can just beat. It kills one in three. I live in the UK so we don’t have to pay for medical insurance as such it comes direct from National insurance tax. I read in one of our newspapers that Obama is looking to extend and change the health care bill in the US. I hope you get what you want.

All the quacks on youtube are morons… there are no published papers which have a “cure” for cancer, and cancer researchers all agree on what cancer is. Not everything is a conspiracy!

1. Cancer was not invented by the US government as far as I know.
2.. People are living longer because of advances in public health and heart disease. Cancer is predominantly a disease of aging. (I’m talking about adult cancers, not those of childhood.) If you died at 40, less likely to develop CA but live to 75 or 80…..

I think the term “uncontrolled” is not accurate to describe the cell growth. Tumors are produced by the body for a reason, which I think is to detoxify, neutralize and sequester toxic levels of endogenous and exogenous substances. Tumors are metabolic organs that help maintain homeostasis in the body. The immune system intricately orchestrates tumor construction and deconstruction.
